Description: To provide a forum for institutional debate and reflection that prioritizes substantive discussions and maintains a focused thematic approach, the Higher School of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Paraná (ESMP) and the Operational Support Center for Criminal Prosecutors, Juries, and Criminal Enforcement (CAOP Criminal) are hosting the Series of Meetings on Criminal Law. The second meeting, to be held on May 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., will address the topic “Artificial Intelligence and the Theory of Crime.” Series of Meetings: Each meeting will feature guest researchers and professors of national and international renown whose research or professional focus aligns with the central theme of the respective meeting. In addition to the guest speaker, up to five members of the criminal justice system will be selected to participate as panelists. Under the moderation of the coordinators, they will enrich the discussions and facilitate a deeper exploration of the topic based on their theoretical perspectives and the practical challenges they face in their professional practice.
